WHAT IS FRANCHISING

WHAT IS FRANCHISING

Franchising is a business model in which a company (the franchisor) allows another person or group (the franchisee) to use its brand name, products, services, and operating systems to operate a business. The franchisee pays the franchisor for the right to use the brand and the operating system, and in return, the franchisor provides training, support, and ongoing assistance to help the franchisee run the business.

In a franchise system, the franchisor typically provides the franchisee with a proven business model and a set of guidelines for operating the business, including marketing strategies, operational procedures, and quality control standards. The franchisee is responsible for following these guidelines and paying ongoing royalties and other fees to the franchisor.

Franchising is a popular way for entrepreneurs to start their own businesses because it allows them to leverage an established brand and operating system without having to develop their own. For the franchisor, franchising is a way to expand their brand and increase their revenue without having to invest in opening new locations themselves.
